HELP STOP TURKEY'S ECONOMIC AGGRESSION AGAINST ARMENIA
Urge Your Rep. to Support H.R. 3103 and H.R. 3361
Current Status

Despite continued calls from the U.S. and international community to end its aggression, Turkey continues its devastating blockade of land-locked Armenia now in its 12th year! The blockade prevents Armenia's economy from flourishing and hinders the development of an important East-West trade corridor for the United States. Moreover, Turkey is now escalating its economic aggression against Armenia by planning to build a railroad line to connect Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, deliberately designed to exclude Armenia. Turkey is willfully avoiding the use of an existing railroad line connecting Turkey to Georgia, in an effort to further isolate Armenia in the region. They will likely be calling on the U.S. taxpayer to finance this ill-advised venture.

What You Can Do

Click here to send a free ANCA WebFax to help stop Turkey's blockade and ensure your tax dollars will not be used to isolate Armenia. Urge your Representative to co-sponsor and support two recently introduced bills, H.R. 3103 and H.R. 3361.

** H.R. 3103: Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA), along with Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues Co-Chair Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), introduced the "End the Turkish Blockade of Armenia Act" (H.R. 3103), which calls upon Turkey to end its blockade of Armenia and asks the U.S. Department of State to report on its efforts towards this end.

** H.R. 3361: Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues Co-Chair Joe Knollenberg (R-MI), along with fellow Co-Chair Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Rep. George Radanovich (R-CA), introduced the "South Caucasus Integration and Open Railroads Act of 2005" (H.R. 3361), which ensures that no U.S. taxpayer dollars are spent on railroad lines that connect Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbaijan and deliberately exclude Armenia.

Please take a few seconds to help stop economic aggression against Armenia and ask your friends and family to join the effort. Regional stability and Armenia's economic future depend on it!
