1) Two Apostles of Jesus, Thaddeus and Bartholomew, preached Christianity in Armenia.

2) Converted by St. Gregory the Illuminator, Armenia became the first Christian nation in 301.

3) The Armenian Apostolic Church, a part of Oriental Orthodoxy, affirms that Jesus Christ was of one incarnate nature, in which both divine and human nature are united.

4) In the early 5th Century, Armenian clergy were among the first to translate the Bible, which is known in Armenian as "Astvatsashunch," meaning "The Breath of God."

5) The very first Biblical passage translated into Armenian is from the Book of Proverbs (1:2): "To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding." (KJV)
