10/02/20 - Rep. Lieu tweeted "We've heard from many #CA33 constituents expressing their concerns about the rising tensions between #Armenia & #Azerbaijan. We're asking @SecPompeo to use all available diplomatic tools to reduce tensions, end the fighting, & restrain Azerbaijan from further offensive actions" View the tweet here.

07/29/20 - Rep. Lieu tweeted "This attack against KZV Armenian School in CA is disturbing and disgraceful. We must stand up against these hate crimes and condemn racism in all its forms." View the tweet here.

04/24/20 - Rep. Lieu tweeted "The U.S. needs to break its silence & recognize the #ArmenianGenocide. Last year we overwhelmingly passed a resolution to recognize the systematic killing of 1.5 million Armenians under the Ottoman Empire in 1915. Today we remember those who perished & pledge #NeverAgain.|Yesterday the House overwhelmingly passed a resolution recognizing the Armenian genocide by the Ottoman Empire in the early 20th century.
It’s time to set the record straight. Only by shining a light on the darkest parts of history can we learn to not repeat them." View the tweet here.

12/05/19 - Rep. Lieu posted the following to Facebook: "For the third time, the White House has directed a Republican senator to block a resolution formally recognizing Turkey's genocide of the Armenian people. For too long, presidents like Trump were too afraid to acknowledge this historical truth out of respect for Turkey. I have had a very long history of supporting recognition of the Armenian Genocide. It's way past time the U.S. recognizes this historical fact." View the Facebook post here.

10/17/19 - Rep. Lieu posted the following to Facebook: "Today, Mick Mulvaney, the acting White House chief of staff, admitted that there was a quid-pro-quo involved in withholdinig aid to Ukraine partly over a conspiracy theory involving the 2016 election and Democrats. We also heard from Ambassador Sondland, who told us that Donald Trump specifically directed him to talk to Rudy Giuliani on key Ukraine policies, which is highly illegal. Now, because of Trump’s impulsive decision and lack of coordination and planning, many of our Kurdish allies have been killed. In fact, the reported ceasefire is not even a ceasefire. It’s just a 120 hour pause and a giant concession to Turkey. On top of all this, the White House announced today that President Trump will host next year’s G7 Summit at his own resort in Doral, Florida. This is just public corruption right out in the open and the Trump defense is crumbling before our very eyes." View the Facebook post here.

10/13/19 - Rep. Lieu tweeted "Now would be a good time for the United States to recognize the Armenian Genocide. For too long, presidents like @realDonaldTrump were too afraid to acknowledge this historical truth out of respect for Turkey. Turkey no longer deserves our respect or our assistance."
