Dear Friend,

Eyes on the horizon.

Focused on the future.

That’s why this April (traditionally a time for prayer and reflection), I am urgently asking you to help save Armenia – to protect our homeland’s sacred soil, security, and sovereignty.

After a century and half of genocide – of Turkish mass murder and Azerbaijani ethnic-cleansing – we’ve learned that the most meaningful way to honor our dead is to fight for the living. We best honor our past by forging a better future.

I don’t need to tell you why. You read the news. You know the stakes.

They’ve taken Artsakh (for now). Mercilessly driven out the indigenous Armenians from this early cradle of our ancient civilization.

Now they’re gunning for Syunik. After that Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor, Tavush, and then Yerevan – or what Aliyev calls the “Erivan Khanate” of “Western Azerbaijan.”

They make no secret of their aims, their Pan-Turkish plan to finish what Abdul Hamid and Taalat Pasha started: Armenia without Armenians.

Azerbaijan’s bulldozing Artsakh’s churches, occupying Armenia’s strategic heights, and massing troops along Armenia’s border.

With a gun to Armenia’s head – threatening renewed genocide – Aliyev is pressing Yerevan to abandon Artsakh, forsake our hostages, normalize Azerbaijani occupation, rewrite Armenia’s Constitution, and remove Mount Ararat from the Armenian national seal.

And if they get these concessions, they’ll press for more, until there is nothing left to surrender.

Unless we fight back. Go on the offensive – in our homeland and across our diaspora – holding Azerbaijan accountable, enforcing sanctions, stopping arms sales, punishing war crimes, and creating a safe and viable path for the secure return of indigenous Armenians to Artsakh.

As a grassroots group, we rely upon your faith and renewed financial support to fight and win these battles. With your help, we can prevent the loss of Syunik and stop the surrender of yet more land to Azerbaijan. Without it, we risk being outgunned by our enemies.

Your contribution this April will ensure that we have the resources to rally our community, leverage coalition partners, engage faith-based friends, and mobilize our Congressional allies to:

  • Secure Azerbaijan’s release of Armenian hostages

  • Enforce Section 907 of the FREEDOM Support Act

  • Ban all U.S. military aid to the Azerbaijani government

  • Impose Magnitsky Sanctions against Azerbaijani officials

  • Lead a UN resolution on the return of Armenians to Artsakh

  • Pressure Turkey to end its denial of the Armenian Genocide

  • Block U.S. financing for weapons sales to Ankara and Baku

  • Defend Jerusalem’s at-risk Armenian Christian Quarter

  • Protect Artsakh’s sacred Christian and cultural heritage

And, as always, alongside our advocacy, we’re investing in the future – fueling our growing array of ANCA youth programs to empower the next generation of leaders – from high schoolers and university students to recent graduates.

If you know of any young Armenians – kids, grandkids, or friends of the family – who are looking to explore opportunities in Washington, DC, drop us a note at youth@anca.org.

Your investment today in the ANCA will pay dividends for generations to come.

With the stakes higher than ever – I am asking you to pitch in once again, to fund our vital work for the rest of 2025.

Warmest regards to you and your family in this season of reflection and rebirth, as we keep our eyes on the horizon and build a stronger tomorrow together.

Sirov,
