There is so much going on, especially in Turkey, that it was difficult to choose an issue to address. But the chaotic, not-yet-assessable, turn of events in, around, and about our homeland’s occupier led me choose another very timely, but not yet complete matter, the U.S. presidential elections, whose Primary election season has now run roughly 50% of its course.
We will be in non-stop-elections mode for more than another year: the November U.S. election, Spring 2017 local elections in the LA basin where the large Armenian population is impacted and can impact the results, and finally Armenia’s first parliamentary elections under the newly adopted system, also coming next Spring. They all deserve, and will receive, much attention.
But, for now, let’s start at the top of the ticket and address legislative elections separately at a later date. There’s lots to cover.
My point is not to bash any of the presidential candidates. It’s too easy to do, and when it comes to Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, it has been overdone, inordinately and off the mark, with form overwhelming substance (e.g. “Hillary is a liarâ€
