Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh): Artsakh, an indigenous part of the ancient Armenian homeland – despite relentless Azerbaijani aggression – built a free, democratic society committed to regional peace through the OSCE Minsk Group (co-chaired by the United States). Due to Azerbaijan's genocidal conduct, the Armenians of Artsakh have today been ethnically cleansed from their homeland.
1) During your campaign, will you call on the Trump–Vance Administration and Secretary of State Marco Rubio to condemn Azerbaijan’s ethnic cleansing of Artsakh and to employ all available tools—including withholding military aid and enforcing sanctions—to hold Baku accountable?
2) Will you urge the Administration to ensure lasting peace in the region is predicated on justice, accountability and upholding the fundamental human rights of Artsakh’s forcibly displaced Armenians – including by calling for the withdrawal of Azerbaijan military forces from Armenia’s sovereign territory, the immediate release of unlawfully detained Armenian POWs and civilian captives, the protection of Armenian Christian cultural heritage, and the safe return of Armenians to their homes?
3) Will you oppose Azerbaijan’s territorial demands over Armenia, and pledge to ensure robust Congressional oversight and monitoring of the proposed “Trump Road for International Peace and Prosperity” to ensure Armenia’s security and sovereignty is respected and upheld?
4) Will you support legislation that properly characterizes the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh as genocide by Azerbaijan?
5) Will you support legislative and other initiatives to stop U.S. military aid or sales to Azerbaijan?
6) Will you urge the Administration to support international efforts to ensure the safe and secure return of forcibly displaced Armenians to Artsakh, as guaranteed under international law?
7) Will you encourage the President to provide material assistance to academic & cultural groups seeking to monitor, preserve, and protect Armenian and other holy sites within Azerbaijani-controlled Artsakh?
8) Will you encourage the President to enforce Global Magnitsky, Section 7031(c) visa/financial sanctions and other relevant sanctions against senior Azerbaijani leaders guilty of genocide, war crimes, human rights abuses, and the illegal detention and abuse of Armenian prisoners of war?
9) Will you encourage the Administration to investigate credible and documented reports that Azerbaijan is attempting to illegally influence U.S. policy?
10) Will you support legislation calling for the recognition of Artsakh’s inalienable right to self-determination in the face of Azerbaijan’s genocidal aggression?
Armenian Genocide: Despite official U.S. recognition of the Armenian Genocide, Turkey continues to deny and obstruct justice for its mass murder of millions of Armenians and other Christians between 1915 and 1923.
11) Will you publicly call on the President to accurately and unequivocally reaffirm recognition of the Armenian Genocide on April 24 and oppose any backsliding?
12) Will you support legislative and other initiatives enabling U.S. citizens’ legal redress for Armenian Genocide-era legal claims?
13) Will you support legislative and other initiatives to promote public education about the Armenian Genocide?
14) Will you support legislative and other initiatives to encourage Turkey to return stolen Christian churches and respect religious freedom?
15) Will you support legislative and other initiatives to ensure strict statutory scrutiny of U.S. military aid, sales, or transfers to Turkey, such as the sale of F-16s and F-35s?
U.S.-Armenia Relations: The U.S.-Armenia strategic partnership is driven by shared values, regional cooperation, joint peacekeeping operations, and growing bilateral trade and investment.
16) Will you encourage the President to reset U.S.–Armenia relations to prioritize accountability for the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh, Armenia’s security, and expanded economic partnership?
17) Will you support legislative and other initiatives to defend Armenia’s sovereignty by securing the withdrawal of Azerbaijani forces from the territory of Armenia?
18) Will you support expanding U.S. security assistance to Armenia (e.g., FMF, IMET, border security, air defense cooperation) and deepen ties across defense, cyber, energy, and tech?
19) Will you support measures to expand U.S.–Armenia trade and investment, including reducing barriers for U.S. small and medium-sized businesses?
20) Will you consult with Americans of Armenian heritage regarding U.S.-Armenia relations and other community priorities?
