Ani on Its Way to Becoming a UNESCO World Heritage Site

KARS (Anadolu Agency)””The ruins of Ani in the eastern province of Kars will be considered for UNESCO World Heritage status, the Turkish Anadolu Agency reports.
If accepted, Ani would be Turkey’s 16th UNESCO World Heritage Site.
“The ministry applied to UNESCO on February 15 with a detailed report on the Ani ruins and we are on the temporary list. Work continues to be included on the permanent list,”
