YEREVAN (Arka)—Armenia and Russia signed on Friday a string of documents designed to boost their cooperation in a number of sectors.
The agreement was signed by Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration David Lokyan and Russia’s Rostov Region’s Governor Vasily Golubev at the Armenian-Russian Interregional Forum in Yerevan.
The governor of Armenia’s Gegharkunik region and the governor Russia’s Omsk region signed an agreement on cooperation in trade-economic, scientific-technical and social spheres.
The Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University in Yerevan and Russian Rosnano Foundation for Infrastructure and Educational Programs signed an agreement on establishing international educational resources in the field of biological technology.
Another cooperation agreement was signed by Armenian Innovation and Industrial Development Foundation and the Russian Association of Clusters and Technology Parks.
The first Eurasian Partnership Forum, which will run until October 16, is aimed at the development of integration process across the Eurasian Economic Union, China, India, Iran, CIS, SCO, BRICS and other interested countries and integration structures. The forum is being held with the support of the government of Armenia and the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The fifth Armenian-Russian Interregional Forum, organized by the Armenian Ministry of Economic Development and Investments and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development is discussing a wide range of issues related to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
