“We are the Armenian Cause!” – (Մենք ենք Հայ Դատը – Menk Enk Hai Tad-uh!)

That has been the message of every Armenian School 8th grade class that’s visited the ANCA in Washington, DC this year.

It’s become a treasured tradition for over two decades – a two hour interactive discussion of Armenian American advocacy efforts and the importance of civic participation. We talk about what they can do today, as students, and how the ANCA can help them later, through our internship and job placement programs.

These kids are the future leaders of our communities – and, perhaps, Ambassadors, Senators, and even President of the United States.

Whether it’s a “Pizza and Politics” lunch or breakfast with our youth – we are all inspired by the excellent questions and smart answers from these awesome ambassadors of the Armenian Cause.

Hai Tad (Armenian Cause) education – here in Washington, DC or in our communities across the U.S. – starts young – in our community centers, schools and through our local churches and organizations. And as our youth graduate high school and university – the ANCA’s commitment to youth development grows with them through innovative programs like the ANCA Leo Sarkisian Internship — a leadership training program for the Armenian Cause – and the Hovig Apo Saghdejian Capital Gateway Program — a launchpad for public policy careers in the nation’s capital. Similar internship opportunities are available with our regional and local offices.

Thank you to all the schools, parents, teachers, administrators, and community groups who have honored the ANCA with a visit over the past 20 years. We look forward to many more visits – from schools (Armenian and non-Armenian), organizations, church groups – as part of our ongoing efforts to educate, motivate and activate our nation’s most precious asset – our youth.

Interested in scheduling a visit to the ANCA offices for your school, group, church – or just dropping by with family during your next trip to DC? Drop us an email and anca@anca.org. If you can’t make it to DC, consider a Skype update for your group or school.

Our doors are always open.
