ANCA Leo Sarkisian Summer Internship Application

  • Dear Applicant,

    Thank you for your interest in the ANCA Leo Sarkisian (LSI) Summer Internship Program in Washington DC. The 2025 program will run from June 16th to July 25th. The application deadline is March 31, 2025.

    Established in 1986, the LSI Program has been a cornerstone of the ANCA’s nationwide efforts to educate, motivate, and activate Armenian American youth to expand advocacy efforts in their home towns and campuses.

    During the six-week Washington, DC program, interns live at the Aramian House, located a short distance from the ANCA National Headquarters. The participants work on a wide variety of projects based on their individual interests, while gaining hands-on experience within the American political system. A bi-weekly lecture series features guest lecturers including Members of Congress, ambassadors, and Armenian American leaders.

    Deadline All portions of this online application must be completed and submitted by March 29, 2024.

    Applications    		 A completed application includes the form below, a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and all transcripts.
    Personal Statement Applicants must submit a personal statement, no longer than 1000 words, that answers the following question: What do you hope to learn during your six-week stay in Washington, DC, and how will you use your acquired skills and ideas to further Hai Tahd (the Armenian Cause) in your own community or campus?

    Letters of Recommendation Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from two individuals, not related to you, with knowledge of your abilities and qualifications. One of the letters should be from an individual who can speak of your involvement in the Armenian American community. Recommendations should include the number of years and in what capacity the person has known you. Letters of recommendation should be uploaded on this site (preferred), emailed by the recommender to lsi@anca.org or mailed to: ANCA Leo Sarkisian Internship Program, 1711 N N Street NW, Washington DC 20036
    Transcripts Applicants must submit all college / university level transcripts. Unofficial copies are acceptable.
