SARF Launches #GivingTuesday Campaign
LOS ANGELES—Effective throughout the month of November 2016, the Syrian Armenian Relief Fund (SARF) announces the launch of its #GivingTuesday campaign aimed at furthering its ongoing fundraising efforts and mission to provide immediate and emergency assistance to Syrian Armenians impacted by the ongoing civil war in Syria.
Giving Tuesday, which follows the well-known shopping events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, is held annually on the Tuesday immediately after Thanksgiving. This year, SARF is propelling into action and joining this global movement, which focuses on charitable giving and encourages individuals to make an impact by offering their generosity to a cause they support.
While Giving Tuesday will occur this year on November 29, 2016, SARF has expanded its campaign and aims to raise $25,000 between November 1 through November 30, 2016 and calls upon the community at large to unite in common purpose and make a donation in any amount, small or large, to SARF.
Since 2012, the Syrian Armenian Relief Fund, inclusive of its member organizations, has tirelessly been supporting the Syrian Armenian community during the crisis in Syria with funds earmarked specifically for the essential needs of the Armenian community, including medical assistance, food, water, repairs to schools and churches, and more.
The Syrian Armenian Relief Fund is hopeful to reach its campaign goal and encourages community members to exercise their personal philanthropy at any level to join the Syrian Armenian Relief Fund’s essential efforts.
