Dear Friend,

You’re a friend.

A devoted and faithful ally.

You deserve to know exactly how we are putting your donations to work, so I’m sharing a quick run-down of six top-line ANCA priorities:

  • Working across party lines on Capitol Hill to hold Azerbaijan accountable – advancing bipartisan legislation to enforce sanctions against Aliyev, stop military aid to Baku, punish war crimes, and create a pathway for the safe return of Armenians to Artsakh.

  • Empowering our next generation of leaders, from high schoolers and university students to recent college graduates, with hands-on internships, fellowships, training workshops, and job placement programs. We’ve helped hundreds of young Armenians launch Washington, DC careers – and we’re just getting started!

  • Leading the fight to expel Henry Cuellar from Congress over charges, in a 54-page federal indictment, that he took $600,000 in Azerbaijani bribes to rig U.S. policy against Armenians. We need to hold these crooks and their foreign funders accountable.

  • Leveraging the electoral power of the more than 200,000 Armenian Americans living in the six swing states (Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and Wisconsin) that all the experts are saying will decide the hotly contested 2024 presidential election – forcing candidates to have to earn our votes.

  • Shining a global spotlight on Azerbaijan’s genocide of Artsakh, during the Olympic games and the upcoming international climate summit in Baku (COP29). Azerbaijan, a carbon-producing genocidal dictatorship, should have been banned from the Paris games and never allowed to host an environmental conference.

Battling back against the growing wave of online anti-Armenian hate. The most recent example of this toxic trend is Aynur Baghirzade, a California lawyer who has publicly called Armenians a “carcinoma” that must be “deleted.” We’ve asked the California State Bar to review her license; she’s suing us for $500,000,000.

We are fighting on all these fronts – and more – as Azerbaijani forces are occupying sovereign Armenian soil and bulldozing Artsakh’s Armenian heritage – demolishing sacred churches, desecrating our ancient cemeteries.

They’re hell-bent on finishing the genocide of 1915.

It’s been their dream since Abdul Hamid, Taalat Pasha, and Ataturk. The modern day heirs of these killers, Aliyev and Erdogan, brag about it.

And they won’t be satisfied until they’ve invaded, emptied, and occupied every last inch of Armenia – starting with Syunik, Gegharkunik, Vayots Dzor, Tavush – and eventually Yerevan.

Simply put, they want an Armenia without Armenians.

Armenians, without Armenia.

We can’t let this happen. Not on our watch.

More than ever, united as a second army of the Armenian nation, our community must go on the offensive and fight back.

We need your support to stop Azerbaijan’s next invasion – to prevent Aliyev and Erdogan from bullying and bribing corrupt U.S. officials into arming a potentially lethal assault, a “final solution,” against our sacred homeland.

To fight and win these battles, against genocidal enemies and their corrupt allies, we need your renewed faith and financial support.

Every dollar you donate will rally our community, leverage coalition partners, engage faith-based friends, and mobilize Congressional allies to:

— Stop all U.S. military assistance to oil-rich Azerbaijan

— Send American humanitarian aid for Artsakh refugees

— Defend the right of Artsakh Armenians to return in safety

— Hold Aliyev and Erdogan accountable for their war crimes

— Secure Azerbaijan’s release of all Armenian prisoners

— Expose Azerbaijan’s corruption of U.S. officials

And of course, parallel to our aggressive advocacy, we’re proud of all the ANCA youth programs that empower our next generation of leaders – from high schoolers and university students to recent college graduates.

Hundreds of young Armenian Americans have gotten their start in public service, politics, and policymaking through our programs. With your renewed support, we can help hundreds more.

If you know any young people who might be interested in our internships, educational initiatives, training sessions, or job-placement programs, visit anca.org/youth or email me at aram@anca.org.

I will close this letter to you with a quote, from the Wall Street Journal, describing us as a “a powerful and well organized lobbying force across the country.” I am proud of this sort of recognition, but the respect – the vote of confidence – that really matters comes from you.

Your faith in our work. The trust we have earned in Armenian hearts. That holds the greatest meaning.

So please, today, show your support, share your generosity, by renewing your investment in the ANCA.
