Demand U.S House passage of H.Res.1351, common sense accountability for Azerbaijan’s attacks on Armenia and Artsakh

At 12:05am on September 13th, Azerbaijani armed forces attacked Goris, Jermuk, and Vardenis in the Republic of Armenia, using mortars and drones. To date, over 135 Armenians have been confirmed dead, and while Azerbaijan continues to occupy Armenian land.

Take two minutes to ask your U.S. Representative to help bring H.Res.1351 to the U.S. House floor and to vote YES on this bipartisan, pro-accountability measure. Passage of H.Res.1351 is urgently needed to place the U.S. House of Representatives on record in four key foreign policy domains:

1) Condemning Azerbaijan for its September 13, 2022, unprovoked military attack on Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, and calls for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire;

2) Urging President Biden to immediately cease all assistance to Azerbaijan pursuant to Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act and for the Administration to make clear to President Aliyev that further attacks on Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh will result in sanctions or other measures;

3) Reaffirming the United States’ decisive support of Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and its firm opposition against Azerbaijan’s military aggression and blatant violations of international laws and norms; and

4) Supporting U.S. and international humanitarian assistance programs to meet the urgent needs of victims of Azerbaijani aggression in both Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
