YEREVAN (ARKA)—UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has postponed his South-Caucasian tour, including his trip to Armenia, Armine Halajyan, the press secretary of the UN Office in Yerevan, told ARKA News Agency.

UN Secretary-General planned his first visit to Armenia on April 25. Ban Ki-moon also intended to visit Tbilisi and Baku as part of his regional tour.

In his words, the postponement was prompted by the necessity of his personal participation in settlement of conflicts in Yemen and Syria.

The cancellation of this visit means that Ban Ki-moon will not participate in the Seventh Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilisations to be held in Baku.
