What Are We Advocating For?

Safety: Demining Artsakh allows its residents – especially kids – to live free from dangerous explosions. On a per-capita basis, Artsakh has endured record-breaking levels of mine-related fatalities and injuries, one-third of which have harmed children. The HALO Trust is near completion of its mission in Artsakh, but needs continued U.S. government support.

Security: Securing Artsakh’s borders is crucial for protecting its citizens and promoting a peaceful resolution that will help keep Artsakh safe and free. The Royce-Engel Peace Proposals, spearheaded by leaders of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, are key to keeping the peace and paving the way toward a durable and democratic negotiated settlement.

Rehabilitation: Providing desperately needed rehabilitation services, through U.S. funding for the Lady Cox Rehabilitation Center, will bring health and hope to children, adults, and the elderly of Artsakh and the region who suffer from mental and physical disabilities. This Center serves over 1,000 patients annually and, with American support, can do even more to help the most vulnerable.
