Letter to your legislator
———————————————————————————–
Dear Representative:
I am writing to urge you to call for the expulsion of Congressman Henry Cuellar for accepting bribes from Azerbaijani state-linked entities in exchange for promoting pro-Azerbaijan legislation in Congress.
I also urge you to call for a House Ethics Committee investigation into Azerbaijan’s foreign influence operations in Congress, noting that this latest corruption scandal involving Azerbaijan is just the tip of the iceberg – and part of a broader foreign influence campaign that has contributed to a deeply flawed American foreign policy regarding Armenia and Azerbaijan.
As an American, I find these accusations against Representative Cuellar to be despicable. The collusion between a member of the U.S. Congress and a corrupt authoritarian regime is a stain on the sanctity of our democracy and undermines my right to participate in a fair, transparent, and accountable democratic process here in the United States.
In light of the gravity of the charges against Representative Cuellar, I look forward to your leadership as my elected representative to defend our democratic rights and values in the face of Azerbaijan’s malign foreign interference – and call for the expulsion of Rep. Cuellar.
