Letter to U.S. Senators Asking Them to Co-Sign the Menendez Artsakh Aid Letter:
Dear Senator,
I am writing to ask you to co-sign a letter, being circulated by Senator Robert Menendez, encouraging the Appropriations Committee to mandate at least $1.5 million in FY21 funding for U.S. humanitarian programs in Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh).
As you may recall, last year, 22 Senators (and 89 Representatives) co-signed bipartisan letters defending the USAID-funded HALO-Trust de-mining program in Nagorno Karabakh – an ancient Christian land and proud democratic republic – struggling to survive on the frontiers of faith and freedom. In March of this year, more than 75 U.S. Representatives signed letters calling on House appropriators to fund Artsakh aid.
The U.S. aid package to Artsakh represents a small but smart investment in America’s strategic interests in a durable and democratic peace between Artsakh and Azerbaijan.
Please co-sign the Artsakh letter and encourage your colleagues on the Appropriations Committee to ensure full funding for Artsakh humanitarian aid.
Letter to Senator Menendez Thanking Him for Leading the Senate Effort to Save Artsakh Aid:
