Dear Representative:
I urge you to join Representatives Mike Lawler (R-NY), Frank Pallone (D-NJ), Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) and Gabe Amo (D-RI) in co-signing a bipartisan letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio calling for the enforcement of Section 907 of the FREEDOM Support Act and the end of U.S. military aid to Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan’s continued aggression against Armenia, occupation of sovereign Armenian land, and genocidal ethnic cleansing of Nagorno Karabakh’s Armenian population must not be rewarded with U.S. assistance. The Aliyev regime has shown utter disregard for U.S. interests and human rights while deepening its ties with authoritarian adversaries like Russia and Iran.
Last year, as a result of sustained bipartisan Congressional pressure, the Biden Administration enforced Section 907. It is critical that Secretary of State Rubio does the same and halts all U.S. military aid to Azerbaijan.
I respectfully urge you to co-sign this bipartisan, bicameral letter to Secretary Rubio and stand against Azerbaijan’s aggression.
