ARF Eastern U.S. Central Committee Meets with Catholicos Aram I

Members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Eastern United States Central Committee (CC) met with His Holiness Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia on Oct. 10 in New Jersey.

ARF Eastern Region CC members Hayg Oshagan (Chair), Hovsep Avakian, and Aram Hovagimian joined Archbishop Oshagan Choloyan, Prelate of the Eastern Prelacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church of America, and His Holiness for the meeting, during which a number of issues pertaining to the Eastern United States Armenian community were discussed.

During the meeting, His Holiness Aram I provided details about the dire situation of the Armenian community of Syria. ARF Eastern U.S. CC Chair Hayg Oshagan then outlined the Eastern United States Armenian community’s efforts to help Syrian-Armenians through fundraising and by introducing the situation to various different circles in the region.

The ARF Eastern U.S. CC also officially congratulated His Holiness on the 20th anniversary of his Enthronement.
