Mika (Michael Vardanyan) will represent Armenia at the 2015 Junior Eurovision

YEREVAN (—The Public Television of Armenia has selected this year’s participant of the Junior Eurovision 2015 Contest. Mika (Michael Vardanyan) will represent Armenia at the annual pan-European song contest on November 21. He will appear on stage dressed like cupid to perform the song “LOVE,” reports Public Television’s press service.

The song’s music video features a big friendship between love and happiness; the young singer, who plays “Cupidon,” joins a team of co-workers to develop and manage all the love affairs governing the world. His modern office is on the creative children’s planet—filmed at the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies—where the main hero and his aides work to arrange and settle anything that has to do with love to instill solidarity and kindness in people.  “Cupidon,” as the god of love, is required to devote a great responsibility and attention to his work. But he is not alone in trying to accomplish that mission; his senior colleague, Aram MP3 (who represented Armenia in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest), will be there to lend him a helping hand.

Full of love and life, the song inspires positive emotions, reminding listeners of the unimaginable power and importance of a smile. With “LOVE,” Mika will try to instill kindness and love in people, imparting high spirits to them and encouraging them to dance.

The song was composed by Lilit Navasardyan, and the lyrics were written by Avet Barseghyan. The young singer was involved with both the composition and the lyrics. Director Arthur Manukyan shot the music video.

This year’s contest brings together participants from 17 countries—Armenia, Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine.
