Dear Friend,
Armenians have always stood together in times of crisis.
And this is surely an existential one.
A deadly regional war on Armenia’s border, domestic decisions at home, and mounting foreign pressure from Turkey and Azerbaijan – Armenia’s future is being decided right now.
The good news is that we’ve never turned away when Armenia has needed us most.
We are, after all, proud patriots of an ancient nation.
Devoted to our heritage. To our homeland. To one another.
You know in your heart that Armenia should never have to face threats alone.
It is a hard lesson etched into our history.
With April 24th approaching you understand all too well that – after a century and a half of Turkish mass murder and Azerbaijani ethnic cleansing – the best way to honor our past, to pay tribute to our martyrs, is to forge a better future for the living.
For you, that starts with a strong ANCA – as your voice in Washington, holding Azerbaijan accountable, enforcing sanctions, stopping arms sales, punishing war crimes, and creating a safe path for the return of indigenous Armenians to Artsakh.
You saw us fight back against Dr. Oz when he defamed Armenians in California, and when the Vice President deleted his social media post about the Armenian Genocide. Because of you, we held them accountable on the pages of the New York Times, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal.
As I shared with USA Today:
“I think [Dr. Oz] will find that we’re not a group you can bully.”
Dr. Oz got the message. When they hit us, we hit back harder, smarter.
