Lusakert, Armenia”“On July 28, 2017, Armenian, British and American troops conducted a joint military exercise at a training center in Lusakert, Armenia. Armenian Minister of Emergency Situations Davit Tonoyan, U.S. Ambassador Richard Mills, Adjutant General of Kansas Lee Tafanelli and British Ambassador Judith Farnworth were present to observe the U.S.-British-Armenian joint training. The exercise included Armenian fire-rescue teams, officers of the Kansas National Guard and soldiers of the British army.
U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills insisted that Armenia’s military and political alliance with Russia does not prevent it from forging closer security ties with the United States.
