YEREVAN (ARKA)—Armenia’s industrial output during the first seven months of 2015 saw a 4.4% increase to 827.8 billion drams compared to last year, according to the National Statistical Service.
The growth was secured by the mining and quarry industry, which produced a total of 143.9 billion drams worth of products, 35.1% more than the same period in 2014.
The manufacturing sector declined by 2.9% to 520.4 billion drams. Electricity, natural gas, steam and air conditioning supplies grew by 2.8% to 149.9 billion drams, while water supply and purification, waste treatment and recycling grew by 10.1% to 13.5 billion drams.
