GLENDALE—On Saturday, December 12, 2015, the Armenian Relief Society of Western USA, Regional Executive will host a special celebratory event on the occasion of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s 125th anniversary. The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Glendale Adult Recreation Center, located at 201 E. Colorado St., Glendale, Calif.

In tribute to this historic occasion and in appreciation to the ARF, which helped establish the Armenian Relief Society, the event bares the slogan of “With the People, For the People, Together with the ARF.” The organization has undeniably played an instrumental role in our nation’s history and continues to play an active part in the Armenian reality.

The keynote speaker is community activist Dr. Hayg Oshagan, who will present on the topic of “The Armenian Woman – Defender of Our Nation.” Cultural performances by ARS school students will also comprise the event program.

The Regional Executive encourages ARS members and the community to attend this inspirational event dedicated to the ARF that advocates for the rights of the Armenian people and helped give life to the ARS.

The ARS recognizes and pays its respects to its nations heroes, who under the guided principles of the ARF, sacrificed their lives to secure freedom for the Armenian people and its cause.

The Armenian Relief Society of Western USA, established in 1984 and with regional headquarters in Glendale, CA, has 26 chapters and more than 1,200 members in four western states.
