ABMDR salutes young officer and celebrates its 30th life saved through a transplant

LOS ANGELES””The Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry (ABMDR) announced that it has facilitated its 30th bone marrow stem cell transplant, thanks to stem cells harvested from a young ABMDR matched donor. The stem cells of the donor, Sergey, who is a 23 year-old army officer serving on the frontline in Artsakh, were utilized to save the life of a cancer patient in Iran.

“On July 3, 2017, Sergey became the 30th ABMDR donor to experience the joy of saving the life of someone he had never met,”
