Charles Aznavour to be Awarded Honorary Walk of Fame Star

HOLLYWOOD—Legendary artist Charles Aznavour will be awarded an honorary star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame on Thursday. The award recognizes Aznavour for his contributions to the Arts and the global Armenian community.

The plaque will be awarded by Senator Kevin de León, who represents Little Armenia in Hollywood, in honor of the world-renowned artist’s arrival to the United States and his upcoming performance at the Pantages Theatre on October 28.

The 92-year old Aznavour has written over 800 songs and recorded over 1,200, selling more than 180 million records worldwide. He is often referred to as the “French Frank Sinatra” and is considered to be one of France’s most popular singers, and is considered to be one of the most popular Armenians of modern time.

The presentation of Aznavour’s Walk of Fame star will take place on Thursday, October 27 at 11am at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.

The event is not open to the public.
