EU Reaffirms Support To Karabakh Talks in Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship Format

YEREVAN (Public Radio of Armenia)””Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian received Herbert Salber, the European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, on July 7. Efforts by Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries aimed at moving the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process forward were discussed.
Salber stressed that there was no alternative other than a peaceful resolution to the conflict, and reaffirmed the EU’s support to the negotiation process within the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship format.
Nalbandian and Salber also touched upon the support expressed in the Riga Summit Declaration to the efforts made by the Heads of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries and statements made by them since 2009 aimed at the resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
In related news, the US has expressed its commitment to working with Russia and France in the settlement of the Artsakh conflict.
