Kerry, Lavrov Again Discuss Karabakh Crisis

YEREVAN (RFE/RL)”“U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov have again discussed the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, reportedly agreeing to jointly bolster the shaky ceasefire there.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the two men spoke about the Armenian-Azerbaijani dispute along with the conflict in Syria during a fresh phone conversation on Sunday.

“The heads of the [U.S. and Russian] diplomatic agencies welcomed the agreement on the ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone and agreed to foster the normalization of the situation in the region,”
