Mesrobian School’s Nairy Ghoogasian Named Teacher of the Year

Teacher Nairy Ghoogasian with Mesrobian school students
PICO RIVERA, Calif.—On Monday, June 6, Armenian Mesrobian School Third Grade teacher Nairy Ghoogasian was named Teacher of the Year by the Shops at Montebello following an extensive campaign to select a Teacher of the Year from seven cities in the region.
The proud Mesrobian alumna, who is completing her 29th year of teaching at her Alma Mater, was chosen unbeknownst to the administration and faculty by parents who nominated and voted for Ghoogasian.
The campaign was open to all teachers – elementary, middle, or high school, private or public – in the seven cities that make up the surrounding community. They presented Mesrobian School with the great news and paid a visit to Ghoogasian at school on Monday.
