PICO RIVERA, CA—On Wednesday, October 14, Armenian Mesrobian School will host a workshop open to the public on “Mindfulness” from 7:00pm to 8:30pm in the campus’s Iknadossian Hall.
Presenting the workshop will be Dr. Dustin Plattner, a clinical psychologist who, in the course of his work with Mesrobian School for 2015-2016, will be working with Mesrobian students on “Mindfulness.” The workshop is a part of the school’s Parent and Community Education Series.
Research shows practicing Mindfulness reduces stress, helps focus, improves memory and attention skills, and “increases density of gray matter in brain regions linked to learning, memory, emotion regulation, and empathy,” according to the Greater Good Science Center based at the University of California, Berkeley.
Admission is free and light refreshments will be served. Campus is located at 8420 Beverly Rd. Pico Rivera, Ca 90660. If you have any questions call (562) 699-2057, or email info@mesrobian.org.
