ANCA Rapid Responder Letters: Support Passage of H.Res.452

Letter to U.S. House Members who have cosponsored H.Res.452

I am writing to ask you to work for the timely passage of H.Res.452, bipartisan legislation supported by the Congressional Armenian Caucus that welcomes Armenia’s 2018 peaceful political transition, praises the U.S.-Armenia strategic partnership, and calls for upgraded bilateral cooperation on shared political, economic, military, and development challenges.

This measure, supported by the Armenian National Committee of America, seeks to strengthen the U.S.-Armenia bilateral partnership and further reinforce the enduring friendship of the American and Armenian peoples. It both reflects and reinforces the growing strategic partnership between the United States and Armenia – rooted in our shared values, driven by our common interests, and sustained by the robust civic engagement of Americans of Armenian heritage across our great nation.

I am particularly encouraged by this legislation’s support for continued United States leadership on U.S.-Armenia trade and investment promotion, upgraded engagement through the Economic Task Force and Trade and Investment Framework Agreement Council, and the exploration of mutually beneficial economic accords. A new U.S.-Armenia Tax Treaty and Social Security Totalization Agreement are both long overdue.

My family and I follow your policy positions on Congress.gov and C-SPAN and look forward to learning of your active support for Armenian American priorities.
