Subject: Urgent Action Needed to Secure Justice for Armenia and Artsakh
Dear President Trump,
As an American ally of Armenia deeply concerned about the future the world’s first Christian nation, I am writing to express alarm over the reckless and irresponsible August 8, 2025 White House-backed agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
This agreement – announced with much fanfare as a step toward peace – fails to address the urgent humanitarian and security crises caused by Azerbaijan’s ongoing aggression, ethnic cleansing, and occupation. It ignores the plight of at least 23 Armenian prisoners of war and civilian captives facing abuse in Azerbaijani custody, the 150,000 Armenians forcibly displaced from Artsakh, and the illegal occupation of Armenian territory.
On October 23, 2024, you pledged: “When I am President, I will protect persecuted Christians, I will work to stop the violence and ethnic cleansing, and we will restore PEACE between Armenia and Azerbaijan.” I ask you to honor that pledge by taking the following actions:
Mr. President, true peace cannot be reached by appeasing an aggressor. I urge you to use the full weight of your office to ensure justice, accountability, and security for Armenia and Artsakh.

Subject: Call for Justice and Security in the South Caucasus
Dear [Senator/Representative] [Last Name],
I am writing as an American ally of Armenia, a constituent of yours deeply concerned by the dangers of President Trump’s August 8, 2025, trilateral “peace” deal with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
To this day, Azerbaijan continues to unlawfully detain and abuse Armenian prisoners of war and civilian captives, destroy Armenian cultural heritage, and occupy sovereign Armenian territory. The White House announcement failed to address these urgent issues – offering no demand for the release of 23 Armenian POWs, no plan for the safe and dignified return of 150,000 Artsakh Armenians displaced by ethnic cleansing, and no commitment to end Azerbaijan’s occupation of nearly 100 square miles of Armenia’s land.
Instead, the agreement rewards aggression – establishing the so-called “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) and waiving Section 907 restrictions on U.S. military aid to Azerbaijan. This removes an important deterrent against further Azerbaijani escalation.
I urge you to:
1. Issue a public statement calling for the immediate release of Armenian POWs, the return of displaced Artsakh Armenians, the withdrawal of Azerbaijani forces from Armenia, and the enforcement of Section 907 restrictions.
2. Support legislation to apply Global Magnitsky Sanctions against Azerbaijani officials responsible for grave human rights abuses.
3. Support legislative action to maintain the prohibition on U.S. military assistance to Azerbaijan.
The United States must not reward Azerbaijan’s aggression or ethnic cleansing. Please stand with the Armenian American community in supporting justice, accountability, and lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
