04/24/26 - Sen. Schiff tweeted "Today, Armenian communities around the world commemorate 111 years since the systematic murder and displacement of 1.5 million Armenian women, men, and children by the Ottoman Empire from 1915 to 1923. More than a century later, we again affirm that their efforts to annihilate the Armenian people failed and dedicate ourselves to preserving the memory of those who were lost. I will continue to stand with Armenians around the state and world to fight for justice." View the tweet here.

04/19/26 - Sen. Schiff tweeted "Armenians do not waver in speaking truth to power and in fighting for justice. I joined @ANCA_DC and @ARAMAC_DC to recommit our fight in standing up to Azerbaijan's continued aggression, their efforts to erase Armenian culture and history, and insist on the release of Armenian POWs." 04/16/26 - Sen. Schiff tweeted "Donald Trump — who for years has cozied up to Erdogan amidst Turkey’s backsliding democracy — called off a criminal case against a Turkish bank accused of laundering over $20 BILLION for Iran to evade sanctions. We need answers from Trump’s DOJ about this betrayal of American victims of Iranian state-sponsored terror." View the tweet here.

02/10/26 - Sen. Schiff tweeted "The Vice President’s deletion of this post only deepens the pain of the Armenian community which saw this White House retreat on Armenian Genocide recognition. Another capitulation to Turkey, in such a sloppy manner as to invite further scrutiny of this administration's retreat on human rights and the truth." View the tweet here.

02/07/26 - Sen. Schiff tweeted "Azerbaijan’s illegal detention and sentencing of Artsakh Armenians are an affront to international law and human rights — and confirm that Azerbaijan has no interest in honoring its peace agreement. I urge VP Vance to use his upcoming visit to demand the release of all hostages and an end to the systematic ethnic cleansing of Artsakh's Armenian population. https://t.co/HJ9wVRaW2l" View the tweet here.

02/02/26 - Sen. Schiff tweeted "Dr. Oz’s demonization of the Armenian American community is a terrible slander. I am demanding an independent review of his clearly discriminatory motive in pushing these smears against the Armenian community." View the tweet here.

02/01/26 - Sen. Schiff tweeted "Armenian Americans make countless contributions to our state, and are an essential part of the fabric of our country. Dr. Oz’s bigoted attacks against Armenian Americans are unacceptable, and he must be held accountable for this blatant discrimination." View the tweet here.

01/30/26 - Sen. Schiff tweeted "Dr. Oz’s demonization of Armenian Americans and targeting of their small businesses is racist and must end. Attacking fraud does not require bigoted attacks on an entire community. California’s Armenian American community is an indispensable part of the fabric of our Golden state. After representing the largest community of Armenian Americans anywhere in the country in the House for more than two decades, I have seen firsthand the many countless contributions Armenian Americans have made to our country. I condemn this reckless demonization of an entire community by Dr. Oz, which has already seen businesses suffer through bigoted attacks on their operations. I welcome any serious effort to combat waste, fraud and abuse — and there is plenty to be found amidst the billions being thrown at ICE and CBP right now. But instead of tackling the challenges Americans are actually facing, including access to affordable health care, or addressing fraud in a constructive and serious fashion, Dr. Oz is baselessly targeting an entire community with indiscriminate and unsubstantiated claims. He is painting his accusations with a brush laden with racist historical tropes and stereotypes, making it clear there is no limit to this Administration’s appetite for distortion of the facts in service of a hateful agenda. We all support rooting out fraud — but the rule of law requires that it be based on evidence, not language, culture, or ethnicity. These attacks must end. In the coming weeks, I will work with my federal and state partners to conduct oversight and an independent review of this illegal racial profiling of Californians, and I will continue to stand with them against these attacks. I will not tolerate Dr. Oz or any other member of the Administration targeting our communities or taking steps to prevent or limit access to health care for Californians." View the tweet here.

09/21/25 - Sen. Schiff tweeted "Today, I join Armenians in California and around the world in celebrating the 34th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia. While the road to independence has never been easy, time has proven that Armenians are survivors – survivors of foreign domination and survivors of the first genocide of the 20th century. The Armenian community continues to illustrate what an essential part of the national fabric they are, breaking new ground socially, economically, and politically across the nation. I stand with the Armenian people, always." View the tweet here.

05/29/25 - Sen. Schiff tweeted "Another all-too-troubling step in Turkey's slide into authoritarianism. We must call out and confront this creeping autocracy, wherever it takes place — at home or abroad." View the tweet here.

01/25/25 - Sen. Schiff tweeted "In Azerbaijan, Armenian political prisoners are currently standing trial in closed-door proceedings. No due process. No press allowed. It's time for @StateDept to hold the Azeri regime accountable for its human rights violations." View the tweet here.
