LOS ANGELES—The 16th Annual Gala of the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry (ABMDR), to benefit the nonprofit organization’s life-saving mission worldwide, will take place on Sunday, August 23, at the Glendale Hilton, in Glendale, California.

The beloved community celebration will feature Jack Hadjinian as Master of Ceremonies. Guests of honor will include several dignitaries and community leaders, who will attend the event in support of the ABMDR mission. Proceeds from the Gala will help the organization expand its bone marrow donor ranks, provide vital diagnostics to more patients, and facilitate additional bone marrow transplants.

“Community support is absolutely key to the success of our mission,” said Dr. Frieda Jordan, president of ABMDR. “We’ve been blessed to have the support of all of our churches and community organizations, without exception, and we’re confident that our forthcoming Gala will be the most memorable yet!”

The dinner Gala will kick off with a cocktail reception at 6 pm, with the main event starting at 7. The celebration will include live music and an award ceremony, during which ABMDR volunteers and supporters will be recognized for their outstanding achievements and contributions.

To reserve seats and for more information, call the ABMDR office at (323) 663-3609, Amy Boyadjian at (818) 919-2686, or Salpi Mankerian at (626) 260-4000.

Established in 1999, ABMDR, a nonprofit organization, helps Armenians and non-Armenians worldwide survive life-threatening blood-related illnesses by recruiting and matching donors to those requiring bone marrow stem cell transplants. To date, the registry has recruited over 26,000 donors in 24 countries across four continents, identified 2,482 patients, and facilitated 20 bone marrow transplants.
