04/03/25 - Rep. Nadler tweeted "Trump placed a higher tariff on Israel, a democratic US ally, than on many of Israel’s autocratic neighbors. Under Trump’s tariffs, Israel will be tariffed at 17%, while autocratic neighbors like Turkey, Egypt, the UAE, and Morocco only receive a 10% tariff. Despite Republican assurances, the Trump-Netanyahu unholy alliance hasn’t led to the greatest flourishing of the U.S.- Israel partnership in its history nor greater Israeli integration in the region. Rather, it has been one that drastically singled Israel out on the world stage—the very act many fear most. Any policy disagreements between Democratic US administrations and right-wing Israeli government pale in comparison to this dramatic division. These tariffs endanger not only Israel’s economic prosperity, but its security and stability as well. Don’t let anyone claim Trump is good for Israel." View the tweet here.
