04/24/26 - Rep. Pelosi tweeted "On Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, we remember the 1.5 million Armenians killed 111 years ago in a horrific genocide. I was proud to be Speaker when Congress formally recognized the Armenian Genocide. And it was my honor to lead a Congressional delegation to visit the Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial and pay respects to the men, women and children who were murdered. By affirming the history of this tragedy, we work to make sure such horror can never again happen." View the tweet here.

02/10/26 - Rep. Pelosi tweeted "When I visited Armenia as Speaker in 2022, our Congressional delegation stood at Tsitsernakaberd and spoke clearly and unapologetically about the Armenian Genocide — because truth matters. That truth was affirmed when the House overwhelmingly passed a bipartisan resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide in 2019, and when President Biden showed moral leadership by formally acknowledging it in 2021 — a position shamefully reversed by the Trump Administration. It’s deeply disappointing, though not surprising, to see the Vice President delete a post acknowledging that truth. Erasing history dishonors the victims and weakens our commitment to human rights everywhere. " View the tweet here.

04/24/25 - Rep. Pelosi posted the following to Facebook: "On Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, we honor the 1.5 million Armenians senselessly killed in a horrific genocide 110 years ago. I had the solemn honor of visiting the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial in 2022 to pay respects to the victims of this atrocity. It is essential that we continue to shine a bright light on this dark chapter of history. In 2019, the Democratic House formally recognized the Armenian Genocide—an historic and long-overdue acknowledgment of truth and a lasting commitment to human rights." View the Facebook post here.
