LOS ANGELES, CA – Governor Gray Davis announced the appointment of Gregory Keosian to the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday, May 22, 2002.
Mr. Keosian, 41, of Sherman Oaks, has been a partner in the Encino law firm of Keosian & Keosian since 1988. During his distinguished legal career, most of his practice has been devoted to civil litigation. He has also handled corporate, contract, and other transactional work on behalf of small businesses.
“I am very pleased that Governor Davis has appointed an exceptional attorney to serve as a Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court,” explained Steve Dadaian, Chairman of the Armenian National Committee of America – Western Region.
“Greg’s dedication to the law and to the welfare of the Armenian-American community make him an outstanding choice. As Greg’s former classmate at Holy Martyrs Armenian High School, it pleases me that a favorite-son of our community has been appointed to this distinguished post,” Dadaian commented.
“From the day he joined the Armenian Youth Federation in 1973, Greg has consistently served our community. From his work as an ANC activist, to his service as a trustee of the Holy Martyrs Armenian Church in Encino, his tireless commitment to our community has always been self-evident. We are confident that Governor Davis will continue to seek out, for public service, the best and brightest in the Armenian-American community,” the Chairman of the ANCA-WR added.
Mr. Keosian has served as a Judge Pro Tempore in the Los Angeles Superior Court. He has been a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, San Fernando Valley Bar Association and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles. Mr. Keosian has also served as Chairman of the San Fernando Valley Chapter of the Armenian National Committee, as Co-Chair of the Armenian Rights Watch Group of the Armenian Bar Association, and as Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of Holy Martyrs Armenian Apostolic Church.
Mr. Keosian earned a bachelor of arts from UCLA and a juris doctorate degree from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law. He is a proud graduate of the Ferrahian School and is a member of the Holy Martyrs Armenian Apostolic Church in Encino.
Mr. Keosian currently resides in Sherman Oaks with his wife Talin and their three children, Adrine, Siran, and Mark.
