C-SPAN TO BROADCAST LIVE CALL-IN SHOW ON TURKEY FRIDAY NOVEMBER 1ST 9-11PM EST
Program to include Turkish Amb. Faruk Logoglu

WASHINGTON, DC – Turkish Ambassador to the U.S. Faruk Logoglu will be featured along with several Turkey specialists on a C-SPAN broadcast titled “Turkey: The Nation, Its People and Politics” on Friday November 1st, reported the Armenian National Committee of America, (ANCA). The live two hour broadcast will air 9:00pm to 11:00pm, providing viewers an opportunity to call in questions. Joining the Turkish Ambassador to the U.S. will be Henri Barkey, Lehigh University (Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) Professor of International Relations and author of several books and articles on Turkey, and; James Kitfield, National Journal’s Foreign Affairs and National Security Correspondent. Other scholars and journalists featured in the broadcast include Bulent Aliriza of the Turkey Project; Oral Calislar of the Cumhuriyet Newspaper and former New York Times Turkey Bureau Chief Stephen Kinzer. Armenian Americans across the country will have the opportunity to place calls asking the panelists a myriad of questions on topics ranging from Turkey’s continued denial of the Armenian Genocide, ongoing blockade of Armenia, illegal occupation of Cyprus and the continuing persecution of its Christian and Kurdish minorities.
