GLENDALE, CA – California State Assembly Republican Leader Martin Garrick met with leaders of the Armenian National Committee of America – Western Region (ANCA-WR) in Glendale to discuss a variety of issues concerning the Armenian American community.
Republican Leader Garrick highlighted the significance of the Armenian American community in California, noting increased interest within the Republican Party to engage Armenian Americans throughout the state. Garrick discussed the ways in which a closer relationship between the Republican Party, its leadership and the Armenian American community could be developed.
The ANCA-WR discussed its positions on key races in the 2010 election cycle with Garrick, noting that Armenian Americans will play a critical role in both the primary and general elections, in a variety of Assembly districts, including the 43rd Assembly District. During the meeting, areas of mutual cooperation between the Republican party and the ANCA-WR were discussed. Garrick pledged to build and maintain a strong relationship with the Armenian American community in the years to come.

This is important to Armenian American constituents in a wide range of Assembly districts throughout the State.”
Republican Leader Martin Garrick was elected to the State Assembly in 2006 and represents the 74th Assembly District. The district is located in North San Diego County and includes the cities of Carlsbad, Del Mar, Encinitas, Escondido, Oceanside, San Marcos, Solana Beach, and Vista. Garrick, who served in the Reagan Administration, is a small business owner and lifelong conservative advocate and leader in California’s Republican Party.
The Armenian National Committee of America – Western Region is the largest and most influential Armenian American grassroots advocacy organization in the Western United States. Working in coordination with a network of offices, chapters, and supporters throughout the Western United States and affiliated organizations around the country, the ANCA-WR advances the concerns of the Armenian American community on a broad range of issues.
